"Nurse at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center Arrested for Smuggling Contraband in Cracker Box"

A nurse at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in South Carolina was arrested for bringing contraband, including marijuana, into the facility by concealing it in a cracker box. The nurse, Jakiera Day, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and two counts of contraband. Authorities found her in possession of a cell phone, jail documents, medication from the jail, personal journals, and notes to inmates in her vehicle, and suspect she had contact with multiple inmates.
