New York State Cracks Down on Unlicensed Cannabis Dispensaries

Seven marijuana stores in Central New York have been closed down for operating without a license and selling cannabis products to underage customers. The stores, owned by David Tulley under the name "I'm Stuck," were found to have ignored notices and orders from the state Office of Cannabis Management. Investigators discovered that store clerks were repeatedly selling marijuana products to customers under the age of 21. The closures mark the first enforcement actions taken under new state laws that grant the Attorney General's Office and the Office of Cannabis Management increased powers over unlicensed dispensaries. Penalties against Tulley could amount to millions in fines.
