The report listed dehydration, malnutrition, severe body insect infestation, and untreated decompensated schizophrenia as the conditions that led to his death. Thompson's family and their attorneys announced the results of the autopsy, which was paid for by Colin Kaepernick's Know Your Rights Camp nonprofit organization. Thompson's death led to resignations at the jail, and an investigation is ongoing.
