Nebraska Mom Sentenced to Prison for Facilitating Daughter's Illegal Abortion

A Nebraska mother, Jessica Burgess, has been sentenced to two years in prison for helping her teenage daughter obtain abortion pills to end her pregnancy after 20 weeks of gestation, in violation of a state law. Burgess also admitted to false reporting and tampering with human skeletal remains. Earlier this year, her daughter, Celeste Burgess, took a plea deal and was sentenced to 90 days for concealing or abandoning a dead body.
