Nathan Carman, Accused of Killing Mother at Sea, Dies While Awaiting Trial

Nathan Carman, who was charged with killing his mother during a 2016 fishing trip off the coast of New England, has died while awaiting trial. He had pleaded not guilty to fraud and first-degree murder in the death of his mother, Linda Carman. The cause of his death is not yet known. Prosecutors alleged that Carman killed his mother to inherit millions of dollars. He was also accused of killing his wealthy grandfather in 2013, but was not charged with murder in his death.
