Murder suspect mistakenly released from NC jail turns himself in

A murder suspect, Jaylan Noah Davis, was mistakenly released from the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office due to a clerical error in a court order indicating that the charges against him were dismissed. However, the charges were not dismissed, and Davis turned himself back in early Saturday morning. He is now being held without bond and is scheduled to be back in court on Monday. The Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office notified the sheriff's office of the mistake on Friday.
