Multiple Shootings in West Louisville Leave Suspects Injured and Police Investigating

Louisville Metro Police officers shot a burglary suspect in west Louisville after he refused to drop a gun. Responding to a break-in in progress, officers saw the suspect coming out of a window with a handgun. Despite verbal commands to drop the weapon, the suspect fled, leading to officers discharging their weapons and striking him multiple times. The suspect was taken to the hospital in critical condition. No additional suspects were found at the scene. The chief emphasized the ongoing issue of gun violence in the community and urged anyone with information or security footage to come forward. Body-worn camera footage will be released within 10 business days.
