Multiple Shootings in Birmingham Leave Three Dead, Including High School Senior.

Caleb Cornandus Whitt, a 17-year-old high school senior, was killed in a shootout in southwest Birmingham. The victim was found unresponsive in the back parking lot of an apartment complex, and police believe he was struck by gunfire and dumped there. A suspect is in custody pending the ongoing investigation. The Birmingham City Schools superintendent expressed condolences to Whitt's family and friends. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
