Multiple Philadelphia Police Officers Injured in Shootout and Pursuit

Two Philadelphia police officers assigned to the Highway Patrol Unit and a 40-year-old man were injured during a shootout in Northeast Philadelphia. The incident began when a sergeant responded to a call about a man firing a gun from a gray Dodge Ram truck. After a chase, two officers attempted a vehicle investigation, but the suspect struck their patrol car and opened fire. Both officers were injured, but in stable condition, while the suspect is in critical condition. The officers' identities have not been released, and the suspect has multiple prior offenses.
