Multiple Officers Charged in Christian Glass' Fatal Shooting

Six officers, including a former Georgetown Police Marshal and a Colorado State Patrol trooper, have been charged for failing to intervene when a Clear Creek County sheriff's deputy fatally shot Christian Glass during a mental health crisis in June 2022. The officers were present at the scene for over 70 minutes as Glass refused to exit his car. Body camera footage showed that no officer attempted to stop the breach of Glass' car before he was shot. The charges come after a grand jury found that the decision to remove Glass from the vehicle directly resulted in his death. The former deputy who shot Glass has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and criminally negligent homicide.
