Multiple Incidents of Gunfire Reported in Memphis

A man fired a single shot from an AR-style rifle into the FOX13 station in Memphis, but no one was injured. He then barricaded himself inside Ubee's and was taken into custody by police about two hours later. The man's parents and pastor assisted with crisis negotiators, and his mother said he had been going through a mental episode and needed help. The University of Memphis issued a safety message, and FOX13 employees were evacuated but returned to work safely.
