Multiple Hospital Staff Stabbed in Violent Incidents at New Jersey Medical Centers

A woman visiting a patient in the pediatric intensive care unit at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, pulled out a weapon and slashed two nurses and a medical resident during a domestic dispute, according to police. The hospital workers suffered lacerations but were in stable condition. The woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, and some pediatric ICU patients were transferred to nearby hospitals. The incident is under investigation.
