Multiple DUI Incidents Cause Highway 99 Closures and Arrests in Sacramento and Napa Valley

A 19-year-old suspected of driving under the influence was arrested after causing a wrong-way crash involving four vehicles on Highway 99 in Sacramento. The driver of a BMW traveling in the wrong direction sideswiped a Toyota, then swerved into a Dodge, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. The BMW caught fire after a second crash with a Lexus. The driver of the Dodge is in critical condition, while the drivers of the Toyota and Lexus sustained minor injuries. The BMW driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
