"Multiple CMPD Officers Injured in Assault During Arrest Attempt"

Three Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officers were assaulted while responding to a break-in at a home in Charlotte. The suspect, who had broken into the house, resisted arrest and attacked the officers. One officer was pinned down and choked, another was cut on the face, and the third was injured in the eye. The suspect was also injured but his injuries are non-life-threatening. The officers and the suspect were taken to the hospital. The suspect is accused of felony assault.
