Multiple Arrests Made in Connection with Shots Fired at Police Officers in Omaha and Des Moines

Omaha Police have arrested an 18-year-old after shots were fired at detectives from the department's Gang Unit. The incident occurred when the detectives spotted a white Ford Escape driving recklessly and attempted a traffic stop. Multiple occupants inside the vehicle fired shots at the detectives, with one round striking the police vehicle's windshield. The officers lost sight of the car but later located it and apprehended the sole occupant. Four additional suspects remain at large, and the investigation is ongoing.
