David Scott Kuntz, a 53-year-old Indiana man, has been arrested and charged with felony obstruction of an official proceeding and misdemeanor charges in connection to the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot. He allegedly participated in the breach and was an active member of online chat groups discussing plans for the event. Kuntz, who identified as a Three Percenter, admitted to being present at the Capitol but claimed he did not enter the building. The FBI conducted a lengthy investigation into his involvement, and he now faces prosecution by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and the Department of Justice National Security Division’s Counterterrorism Section.
