Multiple Arrests Made in Connection to Jan. 6 Capitol Riot, Including Suburban Man and Argonne National Lab Employee

A 68-year-old man from Schiller Park, Illinois, who worked as a welder at Argonne National Laboratory, has been arrested and charged with multiple federal counts, including assaulting a police officer, during the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Robin Lee Reierson is accused of shoving officers and attempting to disarm one during the breach. He faces up to five years in prison if convicted. Reierson's attorney claims the evidence against his client is weak and vows to vigorously defend him. Reierson is the latest Illinois resident to be charged in connection with the Capitol breach.
