Mother and daughter arrested for enrolling 28-year-old as high school student

A 28-year-old woman and her mother have been arrested for using a fraudulent passport and birth certificate to enroll the woman in a Louisiana high school, posing as a 17-year-old student. The St Charles Parish Public Schools district received a tip that the student was an adult in her mid-20s, leading to an internal investigation and the discovery of the fake documents. Both women have been charged with one count of injuring public records and could face up to five years in prison and substantial fines.
