Morgantown Police Officer Dies in Car Crash

Morgantown Police Department's Patrol Officer First Class and K-9 handler Zane A. Breakiron was killed in a single-vehicle accident while off duty. The accident is being investigated by the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department. Officer Breakiron was a decorated officer with MPD and had served the community for almost seven years. Morgantown Police Chief Eric Powell expressed his condolences to Breakiron's family and loved ones.
