Middletown police are investigating the suspicious death of John Edward Corbett, 39, who was found dead inside a West Main Road home after a well-being check. The cause and manner of his death have not yet been released. Police say the evidence suggests this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. Friends of Corbett said he was a talented photographer and came from a well-respected family with roots in Newport.
