Man Arrested with Weapons Near Obamas' DC Home and Jan. 6 Warrant

A man armed with multiple weapons and bomb-making materials, who had an outstanding warrant related to the Jan. 6 Capitol invasion, was arrested near the Obamas' Washington D.C. home. The suspect, identified as Taylor Taranto, was living in a van near the D.C. jailhouse where Jan. 6 criminals are being held. Secret Service agents apprehended him after he ran towards the Obamas' residence. Taranto had previously made threats against an unspecified public figure and had posted conspiracy theories about the Obamas' home. The explosive device found in his possession was comparable to a Molotov cocktail.
