Longtime detective questions activist's role in Rudy Farias case

A local activist, Quanell X, has accused Houston police detectives of lying after they claimed that allegations of abuse were never reported to them in the case of Rudy Farias, who went missing in 2015 and was found eight years later. Quanell X stated that he spoke to Farias in front of the detectives and abuse allegations were raised. However, a former longtime Houston police detective, Mark Stephens, believes that Quanell's involvement could hinder the investigation and make it difficult to prosecute the case if the allegations are proven true. Stephens also suggests that the focus of the investigation may shift to fraud surrounding Farias' mother and whether Farias himself was involved.
