Logan Square Woman Murdered by Boyfriend with Machetes and Cleaning Supplies, Prosecutors Charge.

The boyfriend of Brittany Battaglia, a 33-year-old woman found dead in Logan Square, has been charged with concealing her murder. Genesis Silva was denied bail after detectives found Battaglia's body in a duffel bag in his apartment, along with weapons, cleaning supplies, and lists of chemicals. Battaglia's roommate and brother filed a missing person report after she failed to show up at a party and stopped sharing her phone's location. Silva has a criminal history, including a 2009 conviction for aggravated criminal sexual assault.
