Las Vegas Toddler Injured in Shooting, Student Critical After Fight: Police Report

A toddler in Las Vegas was injured after shooting themselves with a gun that was allegedly dropped by a teen suspect fleeing another incident. The teen had been involved in a physical altercation on a public transportation bus and shot an adult before fleeing. While jumping a wall at a nearby daycare, the teen discarded the loaded firearm in the playground, where a child picked it up and accidentally discharged it, striking the toddler. The toddler is in stable but critical condition, and the teen suspect will be booked into a juvenile detention center. The incident is under investigation.
