Las Vegas Teens to Stay in Custody for Intentional Killing of Retired Cop

Two Las Vegas teens accused of intentionally hitting and killing a retired cop will remain in custody until at least bail is discussed at their next hearings. The accused driver, Jesus Ayala, who is now 18 but was 17 at the time of the alleged crime, opted for a speedy preliminary hearing scheduled for October 10. Jzamir Keys, who allegedly took the viral video of the incident, asked to extend his preliminary hearing to November 8. The Clark County District Attorney will ask that bail be denied for both suspects.
