King County Detective Shot While Serving Eviction Notice in Ballard, Suspect Found Dead.

A detective with the King County Sheriff’s Office was shot while serving an eviction notice in an apartment in Ballard, Seattle. The deputy was transported to the hospital in critical condition and the suspected shooter was later found dead. Due to the police activity, a nearby elementary school was in "shelter-in-place." The Seattle Police Department and King County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene with a barricaded subject.
