Indiana Sheriff's Deputy Fatally Attacked by Dog While Dog-Sitting

A sheriff's deputy in Indiana, Tamieka White, was killed by a dog while trying to protect her 8-year-old son from the animal. White was caring for three dogs that belonged to another person when the attack occurred. Her son was injured but is in good condition. The dog involved in the attack appeared to be a pit bull, but a DNA test is needed to confirm. No charges have been filed against the owner of the dog.
