Indian engineer among victims in deadly Texas mall shooting

Aishwarya Thatikonda, an Indian engineer, and a young security guard were among the eight people killed in a shooting at a shopping mall near Dallas, Texas. The perpetrator was shot and killed by a police officer who was nearby responding to an unrelated call. Police are investigating whether the attacker was motivated by right-wing extremist ideology. The victims also include a family of three, two sisters, and several others who were wounded.
