Increased law enforcement presence at Santa Ynez High School following investigation

A 12-year-old juvenile suspect was taken into custody in connection with a bomb threat that led to a lockdown at San Marcos High School in California. After a thorough search of the school grounds, authorities found nothing suspicious. Following a follow-up investigation, detectives identified the suspect from Los Angeles County and served a search warrant at their residence, where they found the phone used to make the threat. The juvenile was arrested on suspicion of making the bomb threat and later released to their mother's custody.
