Identity of Rose State College shooting suspect and victim revealed

A 30-year-old man, identified as Brandon Morrissette, shot and killed a 20-year-old student, Robenie W. "RJ" Long Jr., at Rose State College in Midwest City on Monday. Morrissette surrendered to police and was booked on complaints of first-degree murder and possession of a weapon on school property. Morrissette's wife, also a student at the college, was with Long when the shooting occurred. She told police Morrissette believed they were having an affair, but this was not true. Long was remembered as a hero and leader with a kind heart. Law enforcement agencies responded quickly to the shooting, and classes and activities at the college were canceled through Tuesday.
