Homeless woman kills social worker with ax in Vermont shelter.

A homeless woman, Zaaina Asra Zakirrah Mahvish-Jammeh, is accused of fatally attacking social worker Leah Rosin-Pritchard with a small ax inside a Vermont shelter. Rosin-Pritchard was found dead on the shelter’s kitchen floor with severe face, neck and torso wounds. Mahvish-Jammeh was spotted in a nearby room “wiping blood off her hands with a paper towel.” The suspect pleaded not guilty to a first-degree murder charge. The victim was remembered for her dedication and positive contributions.
