Heather Mack, known as the "Suitcase Killer," has been sentenced to 26 years in prison for her role in the cold-blooded murder of her mother, Sheila von Wiese-Mack, during a luxury vacation in Bali in 2014. Mack, who conspired with her then-boyfriend to kill her mother in order to access a $1.5 million trust fund, had already served seven years in Indonesia. The judge also ordered her to pay restitution and a fine. Mack tearfully accepted responsibility for the crime, while her daughter, born in an Indonesian jail, is now in the custody of a relative.
