Halloween Hit-and-Run Leaves 4-Year-Old Boy in Critical Condition

A 4-year-old boy named Steven "King" Allen Jr. is in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while trick-or-treating in Birmingham's Crestwood neighborhood on Halloween night. The boy, dressed as the Black Panther, was with his sister and her friend's children when they were hit at a high rate of speed. The driver did not stop. The boy suffered severe injuries, including damage to his liver and kidney, a possible spinal injury, and bleeding from his lungs. The family is pleading for the driver to come forward, and a cash reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
