Gruesome Discovery: Suitcase in Lake Merritt Holds Human Remains

Human remains stuffed in a suitcase were discovered by volunteers cleaning Lake Merritt in Oakland. The Oakland Fire Department and Police Department are investigating the case as a homicide and have withheld the victim's identification pending notification of next of kin.
