Fugitive Wanted in NYC Bishop Robbery Killed in Police Shootout

Shamar Leggette, a suspect wanted for the robbery of a bishop in New York City, was shot and killed by U.S. Marshals at a motel in South Brunswick. The robbery took place during a live-streamed sermon where the bishop was robbed of $1 million in jewelry. Leggette, a previously convicted felon, had exchanged gunfire with law enforcement and was pronounced dead at the scene. The bishop, known as the "bling bishop," identified Leggette as the man who had put a gun to his family's faces during the robbery.
