Fugitive Kenneth DeHart Captured in Knoxville After Killing Blount County Deputy

Kenneth Wayne DeHart Jr., the suspect wanted in the killing of a Blount County deputy and injuring another, has been captured in Knoxville. DeHart was wanted on charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and being a felon in possession of a weapon. The capture followed a large police presence in Knoxville's Park City neighborhood, and the Blount County Sheriff's Office expressed gratitude to law enforcement partners and the community. Deputy Greg McCowan was fatally wounded, and Deputy Shelby Eggers was injured in the incident.
