"Friendship Turned Deadly: Wisconsin Woman Convicted of Poisoning with Eye Drops"

A Wisconsin woman, Jessy Kurczewski, has been found guilty of first-degree intentional homicide and theft in the 2018 murder of her family friend Lynn Hernan. Kurczewski poisoned Hernan with eye drops containing tetrahydrozoline, an ingredient in Visine, and staged the scene to look like a suicide. She also stole $290,000 from Hernan. Kurczewski is set to be sentenced on December 7, 2023, and the homicide charge carries a mandatory life sentence with additional imprisonment for the theft charges.
