"Federal Charges Filed Against Suspect in Wynter Cole-Smith Kidnapping Case"

Rashad Trice, the suspect in the kidnapping and death of 2-year-old Wynter Cole-Smith, is now facing federal charges for kidnapping a minor and kidnapping resulting in death. Trice allegedly kidnapped Wynter from Lansing after attacking her mother and was later arrested in St. Clair Shores. Wynter's body was found in a Detroit alley after investigators tracked Trice's phone location. While Trice has not been charged in connection with Wynter's death, additional charges may be forthcoming.
