"FBI Probes Fentanyl-Laced Letters Targeting Washington Election Offices"

The FBI is investigating suspicious letters containing fentanyl that were sent to election offices in five Washington counties. The letters, some of which were postmarked in Portland, Oregon, contained messages calling for an end to elections and featured symbols associated with both leftist and conservative politics. Four county election offices had to be evacuated, causing delays in vote counting. Traces of fentanyl were found in some of the letters, while others contained baking soda. Similar incidents occurred during the August primary, and authorities are treating these incidents as acts of terrorism.
