Fatal shootout near New Kensington police department leaves one dead and one wounded.

A gun battle between two males near the New Kensington police department has left one dead and another wounded. The shooting took place at Valley Royal Court apartments off Fourth Avenue. Police and EMS units responded to the shooting and are actively investigating the scene along with county detectives. The second male is at a local hospital and his condition is unknown.
