Fatal Shooting of Officer: Woman Charged with Multiple Felonies in High-Speed Chase

A Tennessee woman, Andrea Rene Cothran, has been charged with multiple felonies, including aggravated assault causing great bodily harm, reckless fleeing of law enforcement, felony theft, and reckless driving, following a car theft incident that led to a police chase and fatal shooting of a Fairway police officer. Cothran and another individual were involved in the suspected car theft, and after a pursuit, gunfire was exchanged between the suspects and law enforcement. Officer Jonah Oswald was struck and pronounced dead, while the other suspect was also shot and declared deceased. Cothran's bond has been set at $1 million.
