Fatal Shooting Involving Taos Police Claims Suspect's Life

A suspect, identified as 26-year-old Lance Aguilar, was shot and killed by Taos police after he shot and injured another officer during a trespassing call in Taos, New Mexico. Aguilar attempted to steal a truck at gunpoint and fired into it when unsuccessful. He then engaged in another shootout with police before being shot and taken to the hospital, where he later died. Aguilar had a criminal history dating back to 2014. The investigation is ongoing, and no information has been released about the woman who was with Aguilar or if she will face charges.
