Fatal Shooting in Portland: Police Identify 27-Year-Old Victim

Portland police have identified Isaac L. Seavey, a 27-year-old man from Washington, as the individual fatally shot by a police officer outside an RV in Northeast Portland. The shooting occurred after officers responded to a report of power theft from a nearby business. The officer who fired the shots has not been publicly identified, and both officers involved have been placed on paid administrative leave. A handgun was found near Seavey's body, but it is unclear if he fired the weapon. This marks the third fatal shooting by Portland police this year, with previous incidents occurring outside of Portland and being deemed legally justified. The investigation is ongoing.
