Fatal Shooting in Downtown Greenville Leaves One Dead, Suspect Arrested

A man was fatally shot in the chest following an argument in downtown Greenville early Sunday morning. The victim, 27-year-old William Shamari Slade, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The suspect, 28-year-old Brian Murray, was apprehended after a brief pursuit and faces multiple charges, including murder. Another shooting incident was reported nearby, with Jhiytavious Brown arrested and charged for firing a shot that penetrated a window at River Place apartments. No injuries were reported in the second incident.
