Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting in North Charlotte Leaves One Dead

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a shooting in north Charlotte involving an officer and another person. Officers responded to a shots fired call and encountered an individual who raised a gun at another person. Multiple officers fired shots, hitting the suspect who retreated back inside a house. The suspect was later pronounced dead, and no officers were injured. The incident is under investigation.
