Fatal Hit and Run in Bay County Under Investigation by Authorities

Authorities in Bay County, Florida are investigating a fatal hit and run incident that resulted in the death of Derek Lane Burnette. The incident occurred at North Highway 231 near Palo Alto Church of Christ. The suspect vehicle, a Ford F-250 pulling a camper, was captured on surveillance footage with one headlight not working. Law enforcement officers have located the truck and trailer with matching damage at Saint Andrew State Park and are in the process of recovering it as evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
