Fatal Fight at Side Cut Metropark Leads to Arrest of Suspect in 76-Year-Old's Death

A 34-year-old man, Zachary Boyer, has been arrested on a Reckless Homicide charge in connection to the death of John Meeker, 76, following a fight at Side Cut Metropark in Maumee, Ohio. Meeker suffered blunt head trauma, including a skull fracture and brain injuries, during the incident on November 4 and passed away on November 15. Boyer was apprehended after a week-long investigation by Metroparks rangers and Maumee Police, who had previously sought the public's help in identifying the other person involved in the altercation. Boyer is scheduled to appear in court on December 6.
