Fatal Carjacking Attempt Claims Life in South Philadelphia

A man was shot and killed during an attempted carjacking in South Philadelphia. The victim intervened when his friend was being carjacked, but was shot by one of the suspects. The two males approached a female in the driver's seat of the idling vehicle, forced her out at gunpoint, and demanded the keys and the vehicle. The victim, who was the owner of the car, arrived and tried to intervene, resulting in his death. The suspects fled the scene in a red SUV, and no arrests have been made.
