Families of Buffalo shooting victims file lawsuits against social media platforms and more.

Families of victims and survivors of the Tops Markets shooting in Buffalo have filed a wrongful death suit against social media platforms, gun shops, and body armor manufacturers, among others, for their role in radicalizing the shooter and enabling the attack. The suit targets Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook), Snap, Alphabet Inc., Discord, Reddit, Amazon.com Inc., the body armor manufacturer, the gun shop, and the shooter's parents. The families are represented by attorneys with the Social Media Victims Law Center and the Giffords Law Center. The suit aims to hold these entities accountable and prevent future mass shootings.
