Exploitative Labor: Men Enslave Student in St. Charles County

Three men in St. Charles County, Missouri, have been charged with human trafficking, kidnapping, and assault after trapping a 20-year-old Indian student in multiple homes for several months. The student was forced to do chores, work, and endure severe beatings, including being locked in a basement, sleeping on an unfinished floor, and scavenging for food in dumpsters. The men used various objects, such as electrical wire and metal rods, to beat the student. The student was rescued after police received a tip and found him heavily scarred and bruised. The men, including the ringleader Venkatesh R. Sattaru, are being held without bond.
